Build a culturally competent, high-quality behavioral healthcare workforce in our community.

Goals for 2020

Develop strategies to help Identify & address challenges for recruiting,  training & supporting high-quality,  trauma-informed, cultural & linguistically competent workforce.  
Strategies: 

  • Developed survey & will collect data to determine local workforce retention.
  • 2020 MHC Learning Summit:  experts in the field of counseling & social work will address the need to educate undergraduate /graduate students to be prepared to provide trauma-informed MH services in the community.  
  • Disseminate Report for licensure requirements  for mental health professions in Tarrant County, including transfer from other states.
